Wiggin is a law firm that specialises in media, technology and IP. They help clients realise the value of their ideas in a digital age.
They have around 300 people across 4 offices in London, Brussels. Cheltenham and Birmingham.
Wiggin became a client of iTrain in 2019 when they upgraded to iManage Work 10 and iTrain helped with the change management and user adoption. They have had the Academy LMS and Academy Library content since 2020 and have signed up until 2026.
The Challenge
Wiggin LLP needed a Learning Management System (LMS) to host content and track learner progress. They were looking for a system that was accessible from anywhere, with a friendly, intuitive user interface. They wanted the ability to add instructor-led sessions (classroom-based and webinars) to their courses and easily track registration and attendance. Wiggin wanted a system where they could assign courses and track learner progress. Wiggin also wanted the ability to upload their own content and create, store and manage learning content such as webinar recordings, presentations, documents, and assessments in one central learning system.
The Strategy
Designed with the unique needs of legal teams in mind, iTrain’s Academy LMS offers a seamless platform for accessing relevant and up-to-date content, empowering users to stay ahead in an ever-evolving legal tech landscape. With a user-friendly interface and comprehensive learning resources, Academy LMS provides a dynamic environment for mastering essential technological skills crucial for success in the legal field. iTrain’s Academy LMS has helped Wiggin to create, deliver and manage online courses and training programs. Hosted in one easy-to-use portal, it supports skills development whilst tracking learning progress and creating learning paths to ensure training goals are met.
By continuing to subscribe to the Academy LMS and Academy Library, Wiggin benefits from the growing library of digital content, including guides, videos and eLearning covering:
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- iManage Work 10
Content is updated on a half yearly basis, ensuring it keeps pace with the latest legal technology trends and practices, including major version updates.
iTrain continues to support and advise Wiggin to ensure they get the most from the system; where relevant working with Wiggin to reinforce system adoption and expand the use of new features such as notifications and automation. The dedicated team at iTrain handles all aspects of configuration and ongoing maintenance. They provide training sessions for in-house administrators and conduct annual health checks to ensure optimal operation.
Wiggin’s logo and branding have been incorporated within the LMS interface at no extra cost. They have also utilised single sign-on and assigned different system user-types, enabling a more granular level of control over learner access to the LMS.
The Results
With its scale and flexibility, the Academy LMS has grown over the years with Wiggin adding their own content and learning plans. With the drag-and-drop course builder feature, Wiggin has been able to design engaging and personalised learning paths, tailored to the specific needs of their learners.
Wiggin has benefited from the advanced tools for monitoring and analysing learners’ progress and performance, enabling them to improve the quality of training and track return on investment (ROI).
Designed with an intuitive user interface, the Academy LMS ensures ease of use, enhancing learner engagement compared to more complex systems.
Florence Potter, Learning and Development Coordinator at Wiggin said "The Academy Learning Management System and Library are both excellent. The LMS is easy to use and manage, and the content is engaging and relevant. iTrain is very professional and responsive, and always go the extra mile to meet our needs and expectations."
Wiggin has a long-term strategic partnership with iTrain and engages them to conduct all of their IT Induction training and support on projects when required.
